Hembo, he was great yesterday and he will be fine IF Berkman allows him to be HIMSELF.

Berkman is a b*tch. He doesn't want anyone to have or show any emotion because he is incapable of doing so. His ass needs to set straight that he is not the only player on the team and to shut his idiot mouth and let people be themselves!

I don't have a problem with Berkman speaking on subjects surrounding the Astros. I just wish he'd get it right more often.
Defending Chris Burke after he was traded was silly and who cares what Valverde does. If Valverde does something as an Astro that bites the team in the ass, then I'd be ok with Berkman commenting on it. To call Valverde out before he'd ever thrown a pitch as an Astro was kinda dumb.

I don't have a problem with him commenting about the team either. My problem is that he wants other players to act like him. I don't want players that have the personality of a pet rock.

Berkman doesn't have the balls to be a leader, but, wants to comment on trades that are made or free agents that are signed. He's basically pissed because Valverde was acquired in a deal that took his little buddy Burke away from him.

Kind of makes me wonder if Burke was a pillow biter?

I am still afraid to trust Valverde in a save situation but I guess you have to go with him. It is what we got him for.

He is going to be good, we need to resign him, he is our closer and our future. What I would like this team to get is a reliever to pitch the 8th and move Brocail to the 7th (maybe Nieve?) and another starter, unless Chacon and Wandy continue to pitch the way they are. Backe can be an effective number 4, now, we need Wandy to become a good number 3 and hope Chacon continues to pitch good. The number 5, well, thats Sampson and Cassell, if we are able to get a very good pitcher to move into second spot in rotation, this team will win division (Clemens? ??)

There is no doubt that starting pitching and relief is scary. I am surprised at how well things are going. I think bad times are just around the corner. We have too much bad going for us.

If the offense can stay on track, they may be able to overcome some of the pitching problems. I still don't think they will win the division though. They are .500 to .515 at best.

It looks like we're going to get a little of Valverde now. This is quite a game. Finally got a big homerun out of Carlos Lee. Isringhausen cracked up. Let's hope that Valverde doesn't.

Valverde was tough. But it is just a matter of time before he loses it again. Great game, never thought we would win that one.
