Chandler.. you mean if Burke has an OPS of .800 and then goes 2-25 his OPS doesnt drop?
Vega... he had a chance, blew it and got sent down. Even Burke said he stunk.

I didn't say anything remotely close to that.
THe point of using rate stats as opposed to counting stats is that they're playing time independent, for the most part. You know that a guy is going to have more HR & RBI when he has 600 ab as opposed to 300 ab ( or at least usually). If a guy's hitting .800 OPS after 300 ab, there's no reason to think he can't be hitting that after 600 ab. It lets you know how productive the guy was while he was out there.

I understand that. My point is that if Burke wasnt sent down his OPS was on the way down.
He wasnt producing. Hence his stats would get worse.
