I am still alive......just been busy and dealing with the things of life. I also lost my password from my JBarron account so I have decided to use "changeup".
Just a few of my opinions on this years Astros
1. The team is winning now in spite of Cooper.......not because of him. He is an idiot and we need to get rid of him.
2. Do something to get another starting pitcher and another bat off the bench. With Berkman on the DL, we have to do something.
Glad to see that Iowafan and SADoug are still around. I think that JamesA has stopped posting anywhere for the most part and I have no clue as to what has happened to Coach, Vega, Chandler, and the others.

James A made a post or two here a while back. Great to hear from you Jbarron. I am glad everything is okay. Coach must be alright because texiban knows him and he drops in from time to time and never said anything was wrong with coach. Hope you hang around, it has been lonely here.

Well I am still here and I am glad to see JB back as well.
Now if we can just will the Astros to the Division title...we can celebrate...LOL

We won't win the division with Cooper as manager. He is incompetent when it comes to handling a pitching staff or running a game. Also, the players despise him.

Cooper sucks. I think anybody would have trouble with the lineup that we have right now though. We had a whole bunch of chances tonight and couldn't get it done.

Just a little older and really feeling my age these days. I posted a while back but since I saw little activity, I stopped dropping by regularly. The topic head still has the 2008 Season. Has anyone heard from Coach? Like to know how he's doing and if everything is ok. |

I have wondered that too, I have assumed he is alright because his friend, texiban, has stopped by from time to time and never mentioned anything wrong with coach. Glad you stopped by and hope you come back more often. I kindof tried to keep this place moving almost by myself for awhile, because I didn't really want to talk Astros baseball with anyone except you guys.

Sorry for not keeping up with the board. They cracked down on internet usage at work awhile back. They also moved the office to The Woodlands which adds 20-25 mins to my drive each way. That cuts in to my free time at home.
The wife and kids are good. Kevin just turned 13 yesterday. He is 6 feet tall already. We got him in to a special school out in Manvel last year and that has helped some with him. Keith is working and taking classes at San Jacinto Jr. College.
We did a cruise with 17 other families with an Autistic family member this past April. It was the best vacation ever. We met a lot of great people and made some new friends.
Work has been good. I survived a couple of layoffs so I'm fortunate there.
And Ken is still as queer as a 3 dollar bill, so that hasn't changed.
I will try to keep up more. Take care everyone.

It is good to hear from Coach. Glad to hear about your family also. I am going to be so busy soon that my eyes will be popping out. That is my life these days. I have been wondering about Ken. We haven't recieved much news about shows and living arrangements. Maybe that is for the best?

Coach, good to hear from you and that your family is well.
Glad to see all of you around here. I don't get on a lot but I do what I can. Great that the Astros fired dumbass Cooper today.........about a year too late.
