From what I read today, the idiots are considering trading Keppinger. Who the hell replaces what he did last year? I'm convinced that Wade is a fool and the sooner Drayton sells this team, the better.

You have someone who is playing well for you and you decided to trade him. At least they haven't been shopping Bourn so far. Keppinger has been really impressive.

Astros sign Bill Hall, good move.

Does that mean Keppinger is done? I am not sure how that qualifies as an upgrade. It seems to me that Keppinger's numbers look better overall. This guy strikes out often.

yes, but astros lack power, with barmes and hall they improve on the power department.

It sounds like some moves that are unlikely to make us much better. I hope that our batting coach turns out to be someone that can help these guys. They definately have more power, but neither of them can take a walk . I hope Barmes can field the SS position.

All we are interested in is cutting payroll.. Winning doesn't matter. I don't think trading Lindstrom was such a bad move.

They act like they are still in the rebuilding mode. I actually probably don't mind that. I have a feeling that Drayton isn't looking to win next year, maybe he hopes to sell. I suppose as long as he is in the sales mode, winning will be impossible. It would be hard to play for a team like that right now.

I agree that we did not get enough for Lindstrom. No way this team wants to win by not making any moves to improve itself.

I gotta disagree....I think the team has made moves to improve itself. Hall and barms are not perfect, but for good value, we added some power where we had none before.
Regardless of what it looked like at the time, Wade has made the team pitching better nearly everytime he has made changes. I remember last year when the hew and cry went up after Wade signed a washed up nobody in Meyers. Well....that turned out pretty good....The bull pen has been better and better. I will not be critical of shipping out lindstrom. Do I wish we had gotten more?...hell yes, but perhaps that is all he would bring. We got him cheap for some reason, and we dealt him cheap.
Also...the odds are that the new owner will be WAY, WAY worse than McLain in terms of trying to field a winner. The fact is that McLain has been the best owner the Astros ever had

Guys, remember, i always wanted Myers on my team, i wanted lidge to be traded for him 3 years ago.
I like the Hall and Barmes moves, i don't like the linstrom one.
