You guys sure know how to piss on Ken's parade. Not that this is the first time Ken ever got a golden shower though.

f**k em. I still think it's a good idea. Maybe it's an idea that's just too ahead of it's time for tiny minds to comprehend....yeah, that's the ticket.
Hey I just think 3 games in the Dome per season would be a hoot. And no, I don't think it would be that big a deal to make-ready the place for such an event. Now, if what Son-Goku was saying about the Astrodome being held together by masking tape in it's final days is correct, we might want to rethink the deal. But I seriously think that if that type of liability existed, they would have never opened it up to the Katrina victims.

I don't mind M&M if they would only get rid of all that freaking noise. Whoever is in charge of the stadium background audio must be on angel dust. Can't this person just shut the hell up for a while and let the stadium ambience of the fans and players fill the stadium? Geez...we've got audio of bees buzzing in the background. A 24/7 constant noise prompt for the fans telling us when to clap our hands, when to yell, when to fart etc. I'd like to put about 150 rounds from an M-16 in that damn stadium audio electronics. You have to scream at each other even between innings when nothing is going on just to hear the person sitting next to you.

All I can speak to is what I was told by a friend, my belief in his statements comes from the length of time I have known him and the fact that he actually worked there. Attempting to persuade someone through a third person dialouge is useless. Goku

This is what the video generation wants. Constant noise or diversions so their limited attention span does not wander. I do miss the days of jsut sitting in the stands and talking to the person next to you about the game or whatever came to mind. Now, everyone thinks that they have to be entertained between pitches, innings, batters, etc. Baseball really needs to enhance the fan experience, not suffocate it wih a bunch of nonsense.

entertainment?....what could have been better than watching the old fat guy in the Astronaut costume dancing with the rake during the 7th innings at the Dome....the one one the big screen in center...I never did get tired of that.

Having them stay in the floor of the Astrodome and using the facilities is a tad different then holding a full fledged MLB game there. I have heard from friend that whole areas of the concourse have been completely gutted. It is a mere shadow of its formal self. I think it would more than a dust-off to get it ready.
