What will be interesting will be to see what idiots bid on him. The guys on the World Series are saying the Yankees offered ARod like a $27-30 million a year extension for 5 years. Also, with Mike Lowell being a free agent, the Red Sox could go after ARod in what would be a killer move for the Yankees.

That borass may have fckd him...if nobody is willing to pay him 30 mil he may end up with less than the yankees offered

Move Wright to 1b and Arod to 3b or Reyes to 2b and Arod to SS. Another option is Wright to LF, Milledge to RF.
Mets don't need Arod, they need pitching.

I don't care how good this guy thinks he is, if Boras is his agent, he ain't worth sh*t.

Now, the Astros NEED Arod.
Imagine this lineup:
1. Burke 2b 2. Pence cf 3. Arod SS 4. Lee lf 5. Berkman 1b 6. Scott Rf 7. Wigginton 3b 8. Towels C 9. Pitcher

I'm too busy imagining our sh*tty pitching staff.

The pitching staff would still be a bunch of sh*t. I would rather play ARod at third base and keep Everett at SS. Trade Wigginton for pitching.

Arod opting out is crazy. Who in their right mind would pay him 25 million a year. I can not imagine giving that kind of money to anyone. He will have to settle for a mere 20 million a year in my mind. This is a deal that Boras is going to have to really work to get Arod even on. He may not be signed until spring training.

There is some idiot owner out there somewhere that will trip all over themselves to sign this jackoff. He is a great player in the regular season but he always disappears in the playoffs.

The guy's hit .279 /361/.483 in 39 playoff games - not really 'disappearing'. I'd love to have him here in HOuston.

i cant really see Boston signing him...From what we all saw they are set for a while..The bullpen was fantastic and their pitching was lights out.. The only reason they would make a play at arod is to fck the yankees. They dont need him...A lot of teams dont..Astros have zero intention of even trying but if they did i would have to question their judgement..This team could use 300 mil worth of pitching before spending that on one guy..now i got into a fight with the old board member when i said he will get at least the same 10 year deal if not more...why am i so sure? would borass let him walk from 72 mil +? guaranteed money...no fckn way...im guessing it will be 10 for 285-290 mil You know he will still be amongst the best at 40 years old
