Well there's been a couple games played and not one thread on what's happened. What no one in Houston is listening or watching or following ST. Here on Long Island all you get is Yanks or stupid Mets

nobody cares about ST...I think Boston and the NY teams usually finish close to the bottom of these things and end up at the top in october...nobody down there cares..most of these guys take a quick strikeout and head out for a round of golf...i'd bet Lee, tejada and berkman dont have 40 at bats down there. They dont need them...pence, bourn, towles etc...these are the guys who will be getting the at bats and playing time....matter of fact i just read where cooper has stated he will get bourn 80 ab's this spring...the vets will not even be close to that amount..oswalt pitched 2 innings of no hit ball yesterday....The astros mgmt knows what their stars can do and arent even close to worrying about them...its the wild cards like bourn and the rest that could make or break this team.
santana got shelled yesterday...think the mets will not play him in april?

you can say it doesnt mean anything...and true, it doesnt count....but I am extremely encouraged that Woody, Roy, Bache, and Wandy all pitched their innings with no damage, no runs...That is enough to give hopelessly optomistic fools such as myself great reason to hope
......maybe they can call the season right now:)

So far the starting rotation looks decent. Let's see how they look in May and later in the season. I'm hopeful that they can at least keep the Astros in the game long enough for the batters to wake up. ;D I could care less about ST because I have more important things to do than watch games that mean nothing. My nephew is in Cub Scouts and that alone takes up a lot of time. Plus, I have 5.5 acres of land to keep up with as well and that pretty much takes care of my spare time. Besides, I don't like watching games when the guys I want to see only play 1 or 2 innings then go to the golf course.
