not everybody can be tejada but the #'s above shouldnt be too much to ask for..there are many other SS's who field well enough for the astros to look at You miss the point - even if Everett did have your magic #s, our offense still wouldn't be very good. The team isn't in the shape it's in because of their SS not hitting. The difference between Everett and an average player defensively is so great that you'd lose out by replacing him with an average fielder who hits .260 15hr 50rbi in a year.

Hembo, do you still not realize that Everett is the best SS in the National League? Are you really that stupid? As for players who need to go:
1. Biggio. He needs to be in a retirement home playing checkers and gin rummy. 2. Woody. He is not even a quality batting practice pitcher. 3. Rick White. I think we've seen the last of this idiot. Why keep a guy who tells a reporter he doesn't believe in washing his underwear? 4.Orlando Palmeiro. Dead weight taking up a roster spot.

i dont see it that way chandler and neither do you really...you are a true astros fan..Its ok though...If the astros signed another ss you would forget everett even existed, and you would carry the spin to whoever they got..i will bet you real cash money they dont re sign him when his contract is up...

i dont see it that way chandler and neither do you really. Hembo, don't pretend to tell me how I see things. Everett's defense is key for our team. We're not going to get another SS that could come close to his defense. Even though they've done so every year of his career? What would be the point of betting 'real cash money' with someone who hides completely behind his online identity?
