They gave the job to Cooper because he's black and Draytie didn't want to pay to get a good manager with experience.

Valverde looks awful, fastball only 93 mph, AWFUL. I am sure there are alot of pitchers in the majors that would kill to have a 93 MPH fastball. Lets see , new team and first outing and he took a little time to get his rhythm. After he did, he mowed them down in the bottom of the ninth. No need to jump ship so quickly. Take a deep breath and relax. We have 159 more to go. |

I was expecting Valverde to throw AT LEAST 95 If I am not mistaken, I believe he topped 94-95 in the bottom of the inning. But I understand your point. I was a little concerned with his speed when he came out at first but he seem to get it together after we took the lead. |
