I went. I saw our old pal Houston Buff but I didn't have a chance to stop and talk to him.
That place was loud last night. Even though we have a suspect team, the crowd was very supportive.

How about Wandy. I did not go to the game but he must of looked damn good. Fella is following his routine from last year of great at home and suspect on the road.

I thought Wandy looked great but like you say, let's see how he does on the road.
I thought he worked a lot quicker on the mound.

I was there last night. I enjoyed the Navy Seals parachuting onto the field during the pre-game ceremonies. Wandy pitched a great game. Too bad he didn't get the win. Coach, did you take notice of the song that was playing during Tejada's 1st at bat?? It was Toby Keith "As Good As I once was" the lyrics:
" i aint as good as i once was
i got a few years on me now
but there was a time back in my prime
when i could really lay it down
I was cracking up. I don't know if Miguel picked it out himself or if the team did but if he did he's got a hell of a sense of humor. Valverde gave me a heart attack. Just what you want to see out of your closer giving up 3 runs in the 9th. Sheeesh.....I think before the end of the season I'm going to be referring to him as the Exxon "Valverde"
It was a fun home opener and a beautiful night for open air baseball. The field looked spectacular and hopefully a dose of home cooking with right the ship but I think we may be in for a long season.....

The reason you didn't have time to talk to Buff is that you were too busy looking for AG, Speedy, and Holly. |

the wandy thing is an illusion..that much i can guarantee you..he started strong last year as well..if he pitches so well at home, thats exactly where i would leave his worthless ass, when they're on the road...he is horrible

the problem with this team is the bullpen, it has to be worse in baseball.
