Well I was from the school if you fired Garner (who I didn't think should) then you surly don't hire the bench coach to be the coach next year. This is going to be a very bad year.

Cooper is not a good manager.
Tonight he left a bad pitcher pitch for too long, Oswalt should not get the respect he got for the past because he IS NOT THE SAME PITCHER.

I'm not ready to blame this mess on Cooper. He didn't put this team together.

I don't think this team is as bad as is playing.
I think of the 8 loses, Coop could have done something different to prevent the loss in 5 of them.

I don't have it as high as 5 but your right, his decisions have not helped and I would bet on two games the team would have won with a manager making a better decision than he did. Maybe its not being there and the Rookie making mistakes but I still am on the BOARD that if your firing Garner then you don't HIRE his Bench Coach, JMHO. Bring in a New Regime as the old one must not worked if your firing the The Manager.

It could be worse, Jimy Williams could still be here.

I really don't think that McLame had a choice. MLB is constantly harping on the clubs to hire more minority managers. And we know how Draytie likes to be liked!

Cooper is one of worse managers in baseball.

It could be worse, Jimy Williams could still be here. Well said, if there was ever a worse manager than Jimy Williams, I can't remember.

How in hell he ALLOWED Valverde to CONTINUE and pitch when the game was tied.
Cooper is awful, look the difference between a good manager, Larussa and a sh*t manager, Cooper.
Cards with an AWFUL team is winining, Asstros with a good team, losing.
Cooper has cost the astros at least 3 games already, how many more before we fire THIS a$$h*le?

I don't think that is Cooper's fault. You get a guy to close he is supposed to close. This is whoever the idiot was that brought in this loser to Houston. Sure he could have taken him out, but then what does he do? He needs a closer. Who would have ever thought that Valverde would show up?

You don't take Chacon because he is very good vs lefties.
He had 105 pitches, i would had given him 2 more batters and see what happens.
Like i said in another thread, i don't trust our bullpen wiht a 3 run lead right now, i take my chances with my starters RIGHT NOW.

Pitchers now are p*ssies. Back in the 50's, 60's and even into the 70's, pitchers generally pitched an entire game. Now if they have 100 pitches, they get yanked. What I can't believe is that they are usually the highest paid players on the team and in the AL they don't even bat! What's wrong with this picture?
