We had the guy who could pitch the 7th or 8th and Purpura traded him for Wigginton. Who was it we traded for Wigginton? I haven't been paying that much attention lately. |

I had problems dumping Qualls. Qualls wasn't perfect but when he was on, he was really a great pitcher. I notice no one has scored a run on him so far this year.

That trade may prove to be the one trade that we wind up regretting. I think we have two guys in the minors who will prove to be good closing candidates. Maybe we can move them up but if we fail to sign Valverde then the trade was a bad one.

We should have dumped NOBALLS Qualls a long time before we did. He hasn't given up an earned run this year... I'd take him over basically anyone in our pen(except maybe Valverde if he can turn his stuff around). |

What a pathetic excuse for a closer. We could do better with Villareal. He in my book has lost the closer job until he can start pitching.
