Backe SUCKING big time.
Backe is NOT a number 2 starter, is more of a number 4.
Backe vs Myers is a MISMATCH, we should had won the series BUT, Valverde KILLED US IN THE FIRST GAME.
This is a game we SHOULD lose big time because Backe can't hold Myers jockstrap.

This is really looking bad. I thought Backe was still pitching shaky. He is really letting loose the pathetic pitching today.

If it were me I would pull him and put Sampson. You can't give up the game even before it started. Amazing, Backe got out of it. Philadelphia must be kicking themselves right now.

Come on... he's had 1 bad outing... Give him a break.
Blum's defense isn't exactly helping either... both of his early errors were very routine plays.

Backe has not pitched as good as record shows.
Before THIS game, the whip was 1.69, AWFUL.
11 walks/12 Ks
Awful.
I AM NOT SURPRISED THAT HE WAS HIT HARD TODAY, because his numbers BEFORE today's game were bad. Thats why i don't follow ERA as much as i do whip.

Sampson, however has been pitching pretty good. But that can turn around in a hurry.

We have another problem. The team overall is not hitting up to expectations. This Myers is not that good. Things are not panning out the way that Drayton expected. I can just guess he was expecting Pence to tear it up this year. Maybe Quintero will give us a lift.

I am not sure what they are trying to prove with Villareal. That he can break the giving up homeruns record and add another to the record books. When a pitcher is sucking he is sucking. Give the ball to someone who can.

Hopefully Pence can get it together pretty soon. He seems to be a good kid.

iF pENCE CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE, HE WILL GO TO TRIPLE A. hMMMMMM, BY THE WAY, WHAT IS THE AVERAGE OF lUKE sCOTT? ? tHIS TEAM HAS WON ONLY ONE SERIES, LOST 4 ALREADY, HAS ONLY 2 PITCHERS, oSWALT AND wANDY, ONLY ONE RELIEVER, bROCAIL AND NO MANAGER. pENCE HAS A BIG PROBLEM AND IS THAT HE SWINGS AT EVERYTHING. pITCHERS COULD SAY, WHY GIVE HIM STRIKES? /// sO FAR PENCE LOOKS LIKE A TRIPLE A PLAYER, IF IT WAS bURKE HE WOULD BE IN THE MINORS RIGH TNOW.

iMAGINE sCOTT hitting 6th in our lineup, well, it had to be if we wanted Tejada, lol
Pence, well, i think he is still 1 or 2 years before he becomes a good hitter, right now he looks like a crazy rookie swinging at everything, i think good pitchers will kill him BIG TIME.
The reason this team is struggling so much is thanks to pence, why? Because thanks to him we have to move Blum to 6th, a place he does NOT belong because pence is so bad that he is hitting 7th, meaning, we have 6, 7 and 8th hitter hitting like sh*t/

The trend was supposed to be broken this year with the crappy hitting in the 7, 8, 9 holes but here we go again, same old crap again.
