Spilbough cheated on Blum's "double", he comes to bat and we don't hit the a$$h*le? I don't respect this team. How in hell i am going to respect a team that does not respect themselves? ?/

Honestly... nobody in baseball would go to the ump and say "Hey... he was safe".

They have had more chances to score in this game also and have not capitalized. This truly sucks. I thought Matsui was going to do it there.

It looks to me the new guys are all falling in love with the Crawford Boxes and trying to yank outside pitches instead of just hitting the ball where it's thrown.

Well we are in for an awful season unless they start producing some runs. Because this is about as pathetic pitching as I can remember in Houston. There are exceptions on this staff. But this is miserable even for me who decided to take up baseball again this year.

I hate to say this but this current Astros team is a classic example of what a losing team looks like. Plus, they appear to be about as motivated as cadavers in a morgue.

You have to BLAME the Astros fan for GOING to the games. They are the ones that could tell management, you are not making money from me and have this sh*tty team outhere. Why do i have to pay the ticket to watch a team with no manager? // Go to St. Louis, and you are going to watch a WELL MANAGED team playing GOOD baseball eventough they don't have half the talent the ASSSSSTROS HAVE. I think is time to watch BASEBALL games over ASStros game if you really want to watch GOOD baseball games. Teams to follow, Arizona and Seattle.

Nice to see you are around here James. I guess I will suffer through it. I have a real mania for baseball this year. I guess it helps me forget about what a scary mess the country is in.

I must have missed the play switching back & forth from basketball, can someone describe it? Ball hit over the center fielders left shoulder, he glove it with his back towards home plate snow cone style(ball in the tip of the glove) and fell on his stomach with his elbows/forearms supporting him and his back towards any umpire... he pulls the ball up with his non glove hand. Really no good camera angle that showed exactly what happened... but it seemed pretty obvious how he pulled it up, that he did indeed drop it when he hit the ground.

and our pitcher did not have the balls to hit the guy when he came back to bat.
So, ASStros lost the series and the respect of the other team, INCREDIBLE how fans PAY the money to watch this ballclub.

Iowafan- My son just finished a 15 month tour in Iraq with the U.S. Army's "Big Red One". Conclusion? I'm glad he made it back home safe. What did our soldiers accomplish over there worthwhile? Not a damn thing in my opinion. As for where this country is heading? I'm having a very hard time continuing to believe this country is still worth defending. I especially don't believe in sacrificing my son so people like Ted Kennedy, Barak Obama, Barbara Boxer, Jesse Jackson and others can sleep in safety at night while sucking up resources from hard working americans. I'm to the point that if anyone should be sent to war and into harms way in the future, it should be the entire democrat side of Congress because I personally believe that not a damn one of them is worth fighting for. Other than that, it's good to hear from you.

The team needs to visit some vets to put things in perspective and just go out and have fun. There are worse things in life than losing a baseball game.
