So far, after 3 innings, 2.00 whip.
ASSwolt, when you are facing best starter from other team you can't allow that many runs.
You are sucking big time, IF we can find some idiot to take you, i would trade you.

Why Bourn started today?  /// No idea. Erstad is hitting good, we are facing a tough pitcher, and we have Ausmus in the lineup? Why in hell is Bourn playing today? Let start him tomorrow against a lesser pitcher. I like Bourn, but i would stay with Erstad while he is hitting. |

Borkwski on a tied game in the 9th? ??// That was dumb. Then again, when your number 1 starter goes ONLY 6 (Cards number 1 went 9) that happens. This loss belongs to cooper and oswalt. Cooper, playing Bourn against a good pitcher? ??////// Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, we have a moron managing. |

Vega, you can't say that Oswalt had a damn thing to do with this loss. Put it on Cooper because that's where it belongs for bringing Borkowski into the game. I agree about Erstad. He needs to be in the lineup for now.

If Oswalt is a number 1 starter (something that I questioned at this time) should pitch MORE than 6 innings.
If you ONLY pitch six innings, then relievers are going to decide the game and we don't have many good ones.
Oswalt is right now a number 2 starter going to 3 fast.

On our staff, Oswalt is the only guy who can be considered a #1 starter. Chacon has been great not to have a win to show for it. So far, this guy has been a great addition at a cheap price.

Right now Oswalt is our number 4 starter, Wandy, Backe and Chacon have pitched better than this guy.

Backe has not pitched better than Oswalt, at least not after today. I don't think before it he was any better either. I think generally that our pitching is very weak. It is both a starter problem and a relief problem. I agree with you that the manager leaves something to be desired. This Erstad thing is kind of irking me. I like Bourn and think he can help us, but either Pence or Bourn should be sitting until Erstad cools down. I am afraid however we cut it we have too many weaknesses to be a good team.
