Towles has been on a slump lately. But then it is hard to put in our reserve, Ausmus who is normally a slump with a few short hot streaks. Man, we are hurting.

Towles got his first hit in awhile. Of course everyone was hitting that guy. He still isn't out of my dog house.

But we need Towles to hit. He sure made a deadly 8th hitter when he was producing at the first of the year.

A SLUMP? HE HASNT STARTED YET...TELL YOU WHAT, HE MAY FIND HIMSELF IN ROUND ROCK SOON...ALL KIDDING ASIDE... .179 aint gonna cut it and ausmus can hit .250

Towles at the beginning was walking getting on base in general and hitting homeruns. I am not saying he was perfect, but he was getting on base. Somewhere along the line that stopped. He also is a guy that gets in the way of pitches. I should also note that Ausmus almost never walks, and has almost no power. I don't know what we do for catcher, but that guy they brought up and then sent down right away showed a little promise.

bring him back up...towles is the least of my concerns though...This hitting is going to score 5-7 runs a game...The problem is the pitching will give up 8 or 9

We can afford to let Towles work it out, simply because we don't have a better option anywhere. He can hit, give him a chance.

Good time to try Byrdak. At least he can't lose the game for us. Lannan has been very good. He is the kind of pitcher our team has troubles with when they are on.

well i guess one can stay but no sense in bourn playing..erstad is hitting well enough to start and he should be.. the astros have the luxury this year to let towles work it out
