We don't hit too well when he is pitching either. We could trade him but could we get an ace in his place? We don't have anybody that can do any better and most of them will do worse.

I just got done saying we were hitting poorly and Tejada hits a homerun to tie it up. I still think we are hitting poorly. Tejada got lucky and Berkman will probably strike out. Berkman homered and he has been hitting terrible, Carlos Lee will surely strike out. Carlos Lee homered, Hunter Pence I can always depend on to strike out.

We won the game but the only reason was that the other team sucked worse than we did. Some fool reliever for the Brewers tried to pitch Pence straight fastballs. That is like trying to hang yourself.

My last message was ironically how I still feel. Let us hope that there are plenty of fools in our nations capital. We already know that there are. So how smart can their baseball team be?

To the original poster:
Oswalt is one of the best picthers in the game. I bet you were one of the tards saying how bad Berkman sucked after his slow start last season.

Nahhhhhhhhhhhh, Berkman had a BAD year, but i have him in my Strat team, so I BELIEVE IN HIM.
Now, I am not interested in having Oswalt on my team because he is going down for a third straight year.
If you believe Oswalt is a top starter right now, then you are crazy, Chacon and Wandy are pitching better than oswalt right now and actually, i believe wandy had about same numbers, if not better than oswalt last year.

I have to say that I agree with Vega. I have noticed that Oswalt tends to step it up a bit when the game is on the line. But overall he seems to be pretty shoddy for an ace. The first of the year he was really at a loss.

well, the clown allows 2 runs in the first inning. This guy is NOT a number 1 starter, maybe a number 2, MAYBE.

Well, less than 6 innings, already 3 runs scored.
No way that is a number 1 starter.

He pitched good yesterday, but we are going to need even better effort from him when we play against better teams or pitchers.
We need Oswalt to give us 7 innigs with 2 runs or less.
Yesterday, in the 7th he struggled big time, if it was not for Bourn he would have allowed 4 runs in 6 2/3 innings or worse.
