why no pitcher throwing in the bullpen beginning the 6th inning? No idea. Backe is awful after 5, actually, he usually starts sucking in the 5th. Backe is a very average to below average pitcher.
But, again, Cooper very SLOW taking bad pitchers out of the game.
Hey, that Bourn guy looks awful outhere.

Five innings would have helped out his era today. Byrdak played it dangerously in the 7th. He always seems to play it dangerously and then get by somehow. One of these days he will crack.

Cooper is allowing Villareal to take a beating. I don't know why he would want to do that. We've lousy relievers to put in.
