I dont get these guys? They have had probably the best talent come through their system over the past decade and traded all of them..Now they want to sign hanley ramirez to a 6 year deal? WTF? why dont they just keep the becketts, and cabreras and win world series championships? Why would they now sign some guy to a 6 year deal?
If i were ramirez i wouldnt sign more than a 2-3 deal and then go to Boston or somewhere else when that ran out..

Hanley would be playing 3b for us if we had him, now, that won't happen, we need a reliever and a starter.
I really believe this team can do some damage with some luck 2 more pitchers.

I'd much rather have wiggy and use that money on a santana type pitcher..either that or dump tejada(and i would)and get a pitcher anyways

hembo36, I really thought you understand some of the nuances of Baseball, the only reason that Berkman is lights out right now is because of Tejada. Tejada is the real leader on the field and off for this team which took a great big Brick off Berkman shoulders.

Dump Tejada No Way! There are a few others deserving of being released or traded and Tejada is not one of them.

I agree Tejada is a spark in the clubhouse and on the field.

Plus with both Tejada and Carlos Lee in the line up, batting fourth, Berkman is seeing some good pitches. They don't dare pitch around him anymore. Plus, Berkman has improved dramatically from the right side of the plate offensively.

and i thought you guys followed baseball? Are you kidding me? tejada or hansley ramirez? ;D ugh, yes i would take hansley and not give it a second thought...he is clearly one of the top 5 best players in the game..i would rate him right behind arod, pujols, utley and david wright..maybe better than wright and utley
212 hits, .332 BA, 29 hr's, 125 runs, 81 rbi's, 51 sb's, .948 ops. From the leadoff spot..s hit, i dont know any astro that can do that..Plus he is one of the best defensive ss in the game...Yes, theres a difference betwen tejada and the 24 year old Marlin

Hanley does not have a good rep as a fielder, the Fielding Bible had him as the worst fielding SS last year.
