The Astros have definitely been playing above their haeads, I hope the keep doing so. I wonder what Zito is thinking now that he is winless for the season. That big contract makes up for a lot of losing, doesn't it?

JB...I completely agree with you...What I dont see is where we can get more good starters....What we want is what everybody wants....who is out there?...and who did we pass on in the off season? One thing is for certain....Berkman will not continue to hit at a 648 clip...we still have 3 starters who are flirting with the mendoza line( Trowels will have to go on a tear to even get there)...For now I am quite pleased with our play(..pleased?...hell...I am stunned)..we do have to improve to have a chance... Also, to my amazement, I am hopeing for the return of Wandy...I have this hope that he can pitch on the road this year...He has looked good so far... who can we pick up? JB- On the plus side with young pitchers like Chacon and Sampson, with their continued experience will likely improve as starting pitchers. Plus with a healthy Wandy Rodriguez and and with Roy Oswalt hopefully getting his head screwed back on straight the starting pitching problem just may solve itself. |

James, if that happens and Cooper just lets them play instead of trying to manage, we might make the playoffs.

Of course, i was expecting ASSwalt to suck, but not this much. I see Zito winning his first game tonight thanks to ASSwalt, this guy is awful. |
