Moeller makes mistakes and still keeps battling. He has been around and seems to have as much poise as anyone I have seen. You can look at him for some innings if he doesn't throw too many pitches. He isn't the greatest talent but he is pitching as well or better than Oswalt right now.

Right now all starters in our rotation are pitching better than ASSwalt.
Hey, is time to give Matsui a day off, he is 0 for his last 12 at bats, Loretta should play tomorrow.

I have been noticing the same thing. I think Tejada could use a break too. For Tejada he has been in a kind of a slump. He probably wouldn't like it.

Moeller was really close to having a great night tonight. That homerun to Howard was a stupid mistake. You should never give a guy like that a pitch that he can hit. Howard sure doesn't appear to do much but hit homeruns. At least this year he has been swinging for the fences. A guy like Moeller ought to be able to deal with that, if nothing else walk him.

COOPER has been awful in the 8th on tonight's game, awful. Takes a guy that is pitching very good for Villareal and Wright? ??// Both of those guys are pitching awful.

That was wacky. It was an idea of matchups but Byrdak is a better bet than either of them for batters from either side of the plate right now. I say some of the coaching is good not all of it. There is just no call for that in a one run game.

What is the deal with Brocail pitching the ninth? While he has pitched well I thought Valverde was the closer.

Valverde has pitched a lot lately, and probably Brocail will not be able to pitch the 8th tomorrow.

Maybe it was the hit in the face. That has probably swelled up.

I think we should keep Mohler in the rotation and Sampson to the bullpen. Maybe Sampson could become the 7 inning guy vs righties.

Valverde threw over 27 pitches the night before...even without getting hit in the face there was no way we would pitch him the next day
