This guy is awful, he brings our worse reliever on a 2 run lead and allows the mother f**ker to get 4 hits in a row.
Nieve is our WORSE pitcher, has NO BUSINESS pitching, i take Borkowski over this a$$h*le anyday.
Cooper, you lost this game, you are a very bad manager, AWFUL.
And by the way, is time to send Towels to the minors, is EMBARRASING to have that kind of player playing for your team.

Today we saw the 2 relievers that are going to go after Wandy and Geary are ready, Nieve first, Borkowski second.
Our relievers, only 3 pitchers has done very good the whole year, Valverde, Brocail, Byrdak.
We need more help because our starters are 5 or 6 inning pitchers.
Lets hope Sampson can help us there.
We need Geary to be dominant and take the 7th inning with Byrdak and Villareal pitching at the end also.
Wright is a 6 inning pitcher, he is not that good.
Houston, we have a problem with our pitchers.

The ump missing the call on the Wigginton hit hurt too. Maybe Coop would have gone to someone worthwhile with a bigger lead. Still, this bullpen performance is one of the worst I've seen. Reminds of the time Jackson/Wagner blew, what, an 8-run lead against the Pirates?

Nieve has no business pitching there when you had wright to go 1 or 2 innings, meaning, 6th and 7th, with Brocail 8th and Valverde 9th.
Or, Byrdak 1 inning.
Tell you the truth, i prefer Villareal over Nieve and Borkowski.
I have no idea what Cooper was doing bringing Nieve in the 6th, no idea.
I would have gone with ANY OTHER pitcher over that Nieve dude.

The moves are EASY.
One, plane ticket to Round Rock for Nieve AND Towels.
To Houston, Wandy and and Quintero or House.
Keep Moehler as our number 5 starter and Sampson to the bullpen.
Once Geary is ready, release Borkowski.
We are still in need of one reliever and a starter (Clemens?).
IF, and there is a BIG if, ASSwalt becomes Oswalt, then we can have a good rotation with :
1. Oswalt, not ASSwalt 2. Wandy 3. Chacon 4. Backe 5. Moehler
hoping for a Clemens to pitch.
Relievers, we have 3 good one, we need Geary to be consistent and Villarreal to pitch the way he CAN.

And guys, Wright can only be a number 11 or 12 pitcher, nothing more, Byrdak needs to be our MAIN lefty out of the staff, if is Wright we are in deep sh*t.

I think this game was a possible win but I think the coaching staff is going up against many bad relief pitchers. I don't thing management has given them too much to work with. There may be some talent there but it is hard to see it they are giving up so many runs. I can't believe that this may be the worst pitching staff and we still have a winning record. It would be interesting to go back and see if you could find anything in the last twenty years that is any worse than this pitching staff.

Nieve is coming off an injury, he needs a year to establish himself, he was STRUGGING at triple a, he MAY help us later in the year BUT NOT RIGHT NOW, I think it is easy to see that RIGHT NOW.
By the way, he was sent down and brought Cassell up, who is having a good year at triple a.
Still can't figure out why they brought a struggling pitcher to the minors and sent a guy having a good year to the minors.
