Arent the O's a pretty bad team??? Hirsh hasnt been that good this year.
Jennings.... 0-1 2.70 ERA 1.10 WHIP Vega.... Thats pretty damned good.
The Astros took and risk and the jury is still out.

Yes, 1 year players asking for 12 millions, Hirsh, a rookie with 3 wins already and a 4.48 ERA. The O's bad team? Well, they hit better than the White Sox. Is a pity that you are NOT considering CONTRACTS when you make analysis on trades, too bad because that makes your argument VERY WEAK.

and for the record, hirsh is allowing less than 1 hit per inning, IMPRESSIVE for a rookie.
And for the record, Jennings will have a high whip before the year is over, look at his career, best whip year was last year and it was 1.37.

Let's see how that WHIP looks now that he's not pitching in Coors Field. I'd bet it ends up going down at some point, just like I'd bet that Hirsh's will go up. It still may not have been the best trade in the world, but June 10th is a bit too early to judge it either way IMO.

problem with jennings in the past is walks.
Now, Hirsh right now has less hits than innings pitched.

True, which is a good thing, don't get me wrong. I'm not real thrilled with his bb rate or his k/bb rate.
