Just been busy doing different things. Thanks to some good news in my life (along with getting older and wiser ha!), priorities have shifted a lot. Pointless arguing and pissing contests don't appeal to me at all. There's a lot of good people around here, people who are very passionate about their team, but if I don't necessarily agree with their particular take on something, what's the point of the whole "I'm right and you're wrong" back and forth that I've notoriously been a part of in the past? So, I still check in every so often to see what's happening and to laugh at Coach ragging on Ken, but not posting a whole lot. Hell, I've posted maybe 10 times to my own forum this year.
Now, if you want to talk the minors and about how a player's doing or what level he's on, etc, then I'm glad to chat about that (I love the minors - in fact, I'm going to a CC game tomorrow). If I don't know the answer, I'll turn to SpikesnStars.com (formerly OrangeWhoopAss.com) where there are some absolutely great sources about the minors and what we have down there.
Take care. I'll be around.

Post without arguing. If you don't agree with someone, tell them what you think and move on. There is no need to tell them they are wrong. Sometimes time will prove you wrong sometimes it will prove them wrong. Sometimes there is no wrong it is a function of the luck factor. Rarely will someone change because of insults and arguments. In fact it tends to cement their position. Corn will always help a conversation. Corn converted into alcohol will facilitate that conversation. Corn in the form of an Iowa native will make any conversation more lucid and illuminating. Corn converted to animal protein will make a meal more enjoyable. Corn can even heat your house. Corn will almost never give you gas.

Corn will almost never give you gas. Unless you shove the cob up your ass, which is what I'm suggesting you do.

Oh, the actual cob up the ass probably would get an argument from me. But as long as you're in Texas, and I am an Iowa native holed up somewhere in the Dakotas, which I am no longer giving my location, I won't worry. We do have a honored tradition here of using certain breeds of cobs, (not the scratchy types) as a paper substitute. We have found that importing paper products does not add to our local economies. Therefore we use the cobs dutifully supporting our local family farms. That is voluntarily sticking the cob up the arse. Now the forceful insertion of the scratchy form of the corncob is considered a violation of the law, and therefore since I am not a public employee, that does not fall within my jurisdiction. But if you are interested in the legal ramifications, I suggest you ask either Astrobuddy or Ken who might know something from an actor's point of view.

Astrobuddy is an authority on having something shoved up his ass so I imagine he'd be a good source of reference.

I thought I had better apologize for putting Astrobuddy and Ken in the same sentence. I think that would have been funny enough just with Astrobuddy. After all I hear that Astrobuddy is busy investigating a rash of corncob incidents. Internet corncob threats are on the rise and Astrobuddy needs to protect us all from these corncob wielding madmen.
Getting back to baseball what would Astrobuddy be saying now. That the season is still young and our pitchers are all just about ready to turn it around. I can imagine he would be mad at Vega for saying the pitching sucks. Man, does it suck!

or me saying that Larussa is a good manager, same with Piniella.
Or he would say how much better Cooper is from Larussa and Piniella.
