They have kept Bourn and brought up another centerfielder, Reginald Abercrombie. I would guess that this means they are determined not to start Erstad but play either Bourn or Abercrombie at center field. I do not believe that this Abercrombie is probably the answer and will hit anywhere near where Erstad would hit were he playing. I do not know about you but this is not the move that I had hoped the Astros would make.

Abercrombie isn't as good a hitter as Bourn.

Abercrombie got a couple of hits yesterday. I wouldn't be sure that he is not as good a hitter as Bourn. But getting some competition for Bourn may help us after all. I still think they need to get Erstad in more. I think players start sluffing off or show any signs of not giving full effort, they need to be reminded. That is what you have guys like Loretta and Erstad around for.
