I believe they should play Pence and Ausmus tonight and probably Wigginton, but Blum wouldn't be a bad option. I think it wouldn't hurt and might help to play Loretta tonight. I think Bourn won't work tonight. The rest of the players I believe are going to have a hard time with this pitcher. That is just a guess but I think he is a fastball pitcher.

Berkman got caught stealing third. Then Wigginton gets a hit and scores Lee. Why did Berkman attempt to steal. He could get hurt or caught. It makes no sense. They could have made it to Ausmus who is a good bet at a hit too.

If he had any brains he would walk Ausmus and pitch to Chacon. Let's see. He did it, this manager doesn't miss much.

Matsui would be better. Pence has been bad lately. It hasn't helped him to move to first. Right now we don't have a real good option for the second hitter but Matsui wouldn't be bad leading off. If Loretta were playing he wouldn't be bad, or Erstad.

3 caught stealing tonight, we really really have worse manager in baseball. Good thing i did not WASTE much of my time, I only watched around 15 minutes of the game, funny thing is, on those 15 minutes I SAW THE 3 CAUGHT stealings. I could not believe the Berkman and Wigginton steals. Only one i agree was the bourn steal. Why do you try and steal with Wigg in the 9th with Abercrombie on tha bench?  ////// We have a MORON managing, this team goes nowhere with that guy at the helm. |

Cooper is a home boy with no clue. Not pinch-running Abercrombie in the 9th proved that Cecil is an idiot. You have speed like that on the bench and you steal with Wiggninton. Any idiot knows better than that. As for Berkman's baserunning.....he's always been a dumb base runner. There is no excuse for being that stupid.

It bothers me that the manager allows him to steal. There should have been a no steal sign there. It is like I said, Ausmus was a good bet to hit this guy because he is a fastball hitter. Bourn probably shouldn't have been in the game. I don't know enough about Abercrombie to know what he hits. But Erstad would have been enough to win that game. We need a new manager. I gave Cooper every chance. But this is getting too ridiculous.

I would say that it could be the difference of about 10 games right now. I think if they are not going to play Erstad they should trade him. I think it is a crime the way he has been hitting that he should sit on the bench. Loretta should be playing more. Put Erstad on a team that wants to win. This team acts like they are more interested in tinkering with young players.

You're right, most of our players are old. But then we insist on playing Bourn that isn't good enough. We need pitching. tonight was another sign of it. Even Rodriguez got clobbered. Sampson must have had quite a good inning. I'm wondering if we shouldn't give him a start every once in awhile. Pitching more often from the bullpen may keep him on track instead of a five six day layoff. I am kindof surprised Geary had such a rough night.

I will admit, though Bourn is starting to show signs of getting better. If there is any way that he could be good at the leadoff spot he should be moved there.
