I heard an ESPN reporter on Baseball Tonight say last night that he had talked to Astros players who had confirmed that there were a lot of problems in the clubhouse. This is not normal for Houston. It leads me to believe that Cecil Cooper's ignorance and his lineups are causing most of the problems.

i think having two guys(abercrombie and bourne) in the lineup is causing issues..neither are worth a sh*t and in bournes case, its clear he is playing because he is black

This is so typical of the Astros though. The GM and owner deny any trouble exists and the players wouldn't say sh*t if they had a mouthful!

This is not normal for Houston. All I can say is thank God that those losers Biggio and Bagwell are not around. We all know the team has better leadership now then any of the years those losers played here. ROFL!

I think it is more than just the manager. I think the GM is daffy. After all he was the one that brought in Chacon in the first place. Chacon had a history of discontent. $2 million for that?

Bagwell wasn't much of a leader, goku!
As for Bourn, he should be playing and has been slowiy improving his hitting over the last 3-4 weeks. Hembo, you need to keep up a little better.

agree, bourn is improving but obp still very low for a leadoff hitter. I don't see much difference from bourn and taveras right now.
He needs to walk more or hit for more power for us to have a REAL leadoff hitter.

Bourn has been improving greatly. I didn't think he would have a very good game against this pitcher because he was lefthanded. But Bourn did, now if he could just learn to hit fast fastballs. He has improved allot this year.
