Cooper said at the end of the last losing streak that things would have to change, those that weren't playing well would have to sit and move for others that were playing well. He has done none of that. He is a liar and I say get a new manager. We need someone who sticks to his guns and doesn't lie to the fans.

Well, right now i think we should play the young guys and make trades for the future.
I know Lee would not go and i like him, but he would look great in Tampa and we could get a pitcher and a SS here for him.
then move Tejada to 3b.

I agree that we have no more reason to make a great effort to win. But do you think our gm is smart enough to make good trades? I certainly don't. If I were Drayton, I would clean house in the management. I am not too big on Tejada right now either. If I were a gm he would be on the trading block. I would put most everyone except Berkman on it. I also think our relief staff has possibilities of turning into a good one so I think I might keep most of them.

When you get most of your starting rotation off the garbage heap, your team will suck. If we wanted a rotation, why the hell did we not make an offer to Kyle Lohse instead of wasting money on Chacon? Amswer: He would come a lot cheaper and Drayton is all about being cheap. Lohse has already won 10 games for St. Louis and we know what Chacon did in Houston. That was a big screw up by Ed Wade.

Rotation:
1. Oswalt 2. WAndy 3. Backe 4. Chacon 5. Sampson
ENOUGH SAID.
Since last year i said i liked Mohler, FINALLY HE IS STARTING, but he is a good number 5 starter.
We need a good number 2, move Wandy to third, we need a number 4 and hope Oswalt becomes a number 1 again.
So, Astros need 2 starters, a leadoff hitter, a good number 2 hitter (loretta?) because Matsui is NOT a good player, too many errors, no power and low OBP.

I personally believe Mohler is going to crack today. He has been pitching too much too often. He is a good pitcher, but we are so short of starting pitchers that our rotations is being over taxed especially will wear on an old man like Mohler. I would have said try someone different today give Mohler an extra day. We are not in a pennant race.

It aint the GM...doenst matter if it is Hunsicker, Timmy, or Branch Rickey. Drayton is the problem...he doesnt let whoever has the title BE the GM.Purpura gots lots of blame for Draytons stupidity...We are doomed.

I think that this gm could be doing a better job on the money that Drayton gives him. The question is whether Drayton lets him do his job. Drayton shouldn't be involved in baseball operations. There may be small things that he does but he should stay out of most of it. This thing about Erstad has to be the GM's fault. Hey what did I say about Mohler. The guy is too old and he said himself at the first of the year that he is only good for so long. If this is Drayton running this team, a pitcher is like a tomato, it has a shelf life and has a limit to the times you may eat it. Okay, that isn't a really good illustration but we aren't throwing tomatoes, it is baseballs.

problem is....the baseball people dont seem to have a say about the baseball operations on this team...a guy that seems to know more than most says that in fact, Pam gardner is making most of the decisions on running the team....since Drayton is the owner, it doesnt matter what he "should or should not" be doing...he can do what the hell he wants.
I get the idea that the GM doesnt even hane complete control of wht piddling amounts he gets to work with...(piddling being a relative term)

Who is Pam Gardner? Is that Holly? At least Holly seemed to know quite a bit about baseball. We have been calling for Drayton to sell the team for years. I am tired of that. Drayton is making money on it. Only you guys in the Houston area have the power to get Drayton to sell the team.

I look up Pam Gardner and she is too thin to be Holly. And who do I find has posted pictures of her on the web but Houston Buff. If she is the one running this mess, she needs to get her mits off. Anyone can see that this is a mess that has been created not an accident. I don't care how good looking you are.
