Ive said it since last year...keep him where he is...he will NEVER be what he once was but another team may possibly give him a chance..while wheeler isnt getting it done either, Lidge is damaged goods... that job*closer) is almost impossible to regain once lost...with same club anyways.....i dont deny the upside potential is there but not in the astros case.. Its there either for a team so far behind or a team way out in front..those are the only teams that can afford the f**k ups...astros arent exactly dead yet but 7 or 8 blown lidge saves may sink them again...take back half his blown saves last year and cardinals wouldnt have been WS champs

I actually feel sorry for him. This is just something of biblical proportions. Once again Garner brings in a pitcher and the first batter that pitcher faces hits a homerun. I am CERTAIN that Garner has the all-time record for doing that, certainly expressed as a percentage of games managed. HE simply has no clue of how to handle a pitching staff. It is like watching a 2 year old at the controls of a jumbo jet. |
