when do andruw jones and miguel cabrera become free agents? Would the astros even pursue cabrera?

mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/There's a good reference site to bookmark. Coming into 2007, Cabrera had a tad bit over 3 years of ML service time. That means he can be eligible after the 2009 season if he's not under a long term deal by then. Andruw's contract runs out after 2007, but IMO he's going to want more than what he's worth these days.

i dont know..i would take him.. it seems like he's been playing forever and he is still under 30..pence is no Jones in center

thats a great link....i seriously doubt that cheap ass in FLA will sign a huge contract for cabrera

I'd much rather watch Pence over the next 5 years play CF than an aging Andruw Jones. Jones is 30 now, he's hitting .212/.332/.397 this year.
