Now you see why Lidge is the closer? ?? Wheeler is SUCKING AGAIN. Pity to see how good Sampson was tonight a a bad reliever just gave the game. A told our friend Gallo that this guy sucks, he is now 0 and 4 with a n era of 5.81. Astros, 8 games out thanks to Wheeler. Gallo, Wheeler sucks.

But, the moron is Garner, why Wheeler and not Qualls? Wheeler right now is our worse reliever after Miller.

Wheeler did his job until the blown call. Then he just fell apart.

He got two strike outs, then two lame infield hits that Milo talked about the rest of the game how the blown call on the last one was an out and Wheels would have been out of the inning without giving up a run.

Yep. Wheeler not to blame. Blame the rest of the team. He pitched well until the rest of the team f**ked him in the a$$h*le.
And Lidge should be the closer. I have been saying that for awhile. He's far better than either Qualls or Wheeler.

By the way, what was Wheeler's ERA last season when we actually had the discussion about who was better THAN???
Keep twisting the argument Vega, but I was right and YOU were wrong. The Qualls/Wheeler argument had to do with who was better LAST season. I think the facts speak for themselves.

Garner blew the game when he pulled Sampson and sent the useless Orlando Palmeiro in to pinch hit. I'd risk Sampson driving in a run from second base before I would Palmeiro. Sampson's pitch count was low and he was doing the job. Garner should NOT have pulled Sampson from the game.
Oh yeah, Wheeler sucks ass.

Sorry Gallo, but i am NOT SURPRISED on Wheeler struggling, why? Because i don't think he has good stuff. Yes, he HAD 2 good years but this year he is proving he has no stuff to be a closer or a set up man. I believe Qualls and Lidge have MUCH BETTER STUFF. Sorry, but thats the TRUTH. Now, are you going to live in the past? ? I TOLD YOU who is better, last year the whip was about the SAME from Qualls and Wheeler with one difference, QUALLS WAS OVERUSED and Wheeler not. I am NOT surpriesed with Wheeler struggling, can you say the same? ?

Except you were forgetting the obvious point, that Wheeler was a more effective pitcher. By a lot. No denying that. That's what that discussion was about. Who was better last year, and that was Wheeler.
To be honest, I' not that shocked. In small sample sizes, it's pretty easy for a reliever to look bad for stretches. He'll get better. As of right now, him and Qualls are pretty damned similar.

Bingo.
Hell, looking at 2006 numbers, Trevor Miller was actually very good for us.

agree, but his career is bad, too many hits, walks and high ERA.

Speaking of Lima, I hear his wife topped out at 34DDD on the Juggs gun.
