So the Yanks can pay the GNP of a small 3rd world country and get CC but we have to keep our cap at 100 million TOTAL and ship Ty? Among others... That's what the rumors are. Amazing. We are playing on the losing end of a hand that has already been dealt fellas.

Well, to be fair (and I'm not trying to excuse what they did with Wigginton), the Yankees have a lot more revenue coming in then the Astros do. They went over 4 million in attendance last year, they sell a crap load of merchandise, and they own their own network, YES, which provides buttloads of monies.
The good news is, we're not trying to trade Ty anymore. 'Course, the bad news is we stopped trying because he was nontendered on Friday. Ty's a free agent now.
