I probably spelled old Wiggy's name wrong but I get the feeling it was a mistake to get rid of him. He was a solid hitter and we are really in the need of some solid consistant hitting right now. I think I would have kept him over Tejada for instance. Tejada hardly ever draws walks.

I just looked him up and he is playing as badly as our players are. He was another one that started fairly slowly last year. I still stand by what I say. Tejada starts out fast and tapers off. Baseball you can never tell what is going to happen. Maybe we get surprised and win?

Man, at least up to this point I was sure wrong here. Blum has been the man. But I will be right pretty soon and Blum will suck like he is supposed to and Wigginton will be good as I had predicted. Just you wait and see!

Hopefully one of our young shortstops will emerge, and we can move Tejada to 3B. But for now, I do enjoy Blum and Keppinger.

We DID want to keep Wiggington...he was solid, but would have been due something like 5 million.Tejeda was untradeable due to large contract. It has worked out so far, but when the injuries keep pilling up we will be pretty thin.....No crying in baseball!!!
