This one really hurt. It was hard to stomach missing all of those scoring chances. We also have a mind block against Zambrano. Now we have an awful tough road.

We have a tough road as long as Cecil Cooper is the manager. The players do not trust his judgment. If he weren't black, Drayton would have fired him at the All-Star break.

I hadnt heard that the players didnt trust Coopers judgement. Then again, I dont hear alot.Where did you see that?

We are still in the series. The matchup doesn't look very good tomorrow. This team, as patchwork as it is right now sure scores some runs at times.

matchup???...when your top hitter, top pitcher and best set up man all go on the DL at the same time, plus one of only 2 lefty relievers goes out with appendicitus...nothing looks good.
JB may be right about Coop....I dont know, but connie Mack couldnt bring this bunch in with these problems.

But I was talking about the pitching matchup, and that was Hampton and Wells. We are in deep trouble in about every count right now. About all they can do is try to win as many games as they can while they are in this difficult situation. I was getting too hopeful there for awhile.

SA, I'm just reading between the lines of some of Allison Cooper's and Richard Justice's comments. I could be entirely wrong about the players distrusting Cooper. If we had back the games his ignorance have cost us, we'd be leading the division.
Getting Brocail back is no improvement. He is washed up and needs to be sent packing permanently. Unless we make a trade for a starting pitcher, we don't have a prayer of making the playoffs.
