if we are going to have any chance. I don't think we have enough pitching to get us by. Cooper is acting like he is already giving up on the season. Maybe that is what he has been told to do. I realize that there may not be pitching out there to acquire. But there are other options that he doesn't seem to be even interested in trying.

Since I wrote this we have made quite a few moves, mostly with the minor league system. At least we haven't completely dropped out of the picture. We'll probably need a decent game from Moehler to have a chance in the next game. I am not optimistic.

Cooper is a moron but the person to blame for this crappy pitching staff is old Uncle Draytie. He invests all his money in old, slow position players and then goes and signs crap like Ortiz and Hampton to man the pitching rotation. This team is going nowhere unless Draytie either changes his policy on spending money or sells the team.
