I read an interesting article that said Houston was rated the worst managed team in the major leagues. They say that our farm system is in shambles. He thought we should trade all of our older players and start over. I agree that there is no way that we can win with this team. I think if things went absolutely perfect we might win the division. But I don't really see too much hope. He thought we should get an new general manager and assistant. He named the guys that he thought we should pick up. Mike Arbuckle and Marti Wolever are the people that he named. Ed Wade has never come close to impressing me. But maybe no one could do well with Drayton the owner.

with some of the contracts that were already here when Wade got he hands were pre tied. Blame some of that on on McLane and Some on TPURP. Then McLane is involved in all money talks so take it from there. He has the Woman running the business side and all she cares about is the bottom line NOT PUTTING A GOOD TEAM ON THE FIELD

The downfall of the Astros began when Hunsicker left. Purpura, McLane, Wade, and Cecil Cooper have destroyed this franchise. The team quit on Cooper a long time ago. Berkman is an overweight slob who doesn't give a damn. Lee is not only slow but doesn't hustle. Tejada is turning into an automatic double play. Berkman would be rejuvenated under new management. Keep Oswalt, Wandy, Norris, Berkman, Bourn, and Pence. Get rid of the rest of them and start over. Unfortunately, Drayton probably won't sell but he needs to fire Wade and Cooper. Hire a quality GM and see if we can get Brad Ausmus to come here and manage the team. I think he could handle a young, rebuilding team. Anything is better than Cooper.

I agree with firing Cooper though I still think tejada could have been better with more rest early in the year. Even with the fall off the last month he still hitting over 300 and its seems like his DP didn't really pick up until the last half.

JB I agree with just about everything you said, but I am not sure that Wade hasnt done a good job.It is hard to tell how much the GM is allowed nto do under McLain....Since Wade has come the minor league system seems in better shape, and for the first time in a while we signed our draft choices. Wade brought Bourne here
Even still...we are in terrible shape.I would be up for trading anybody not named Pence or Bourne...anyone else we trade is fine with me.
I also like the idea of Ausmus as manager, but why do that to him before we get something to work with.?

I think that it is perhaps unlikely that they will do anything drastic with the team but they might do what JBarron said. I wouldn't mind keeping Valverde. He seems like the kind of closer that could have an all-star year at some point fairly soon.

Problem with that is, He will be getting a ton of money and I think any thing over 10 million is way to much and I am not sure I would give that much. CLosers get to much and really aren't worth it unless your in Rivera's level and even the Yankee's didn't pay him like a Real Top Starting Pitcher gets
