All I can say is so far this doesn't look like a team that can compete for anything. Towles is hitting like he always does. Pence has yet to get a hit. This is pretty scary. One thing, if all goes poorly at least that will force Drayton to look at rebuilding. Maybe if things go really bad Drayton...............

Wow, I get back to the hotel and see THIS? Things ain't lookin too bright for our boys. But it's a LONG season. And we've barely begun. A few more games before we give up on em for good.

Seriously though, in the words of the Indians ground crew in "Major League", "These guys are shi&&y!" In fact I think I saw Dorn in the dugout!

This will be a LONG season. No hitting......no pitching.....very little team speed. When you have to put a lineup out there with Quintero, Blum, and that crap in it, you are in trouble. We still have Ben Zobriski if we hadn't traded him to Tampa Bay while he was a prospect. Now, he is an AL All-Star. The people running this franchise have let it die on the vine while Drayton has sat on his ass and counted his money.

I think if we can't give the Astros any more support, we should at least give them credit for doing their best early in the season to get us to give up on them. They are doing a marvelous job on that account.

As of now, the Astros are the only team in the NL that hasn't won a game. With the Phillies and Cardinals coming up, that trend is likely to continue. I hope Berkman is happy sitting on his fat ass claiming to be injured while his team goes down the tube. I wish they would trade this bum if they can get anything for him.

I think we have an outside chance to win this game. Paulino had a decent preseason and it is time for Moyer to retire. If he got bombed by this powerful Astros lineup that just might do the trick. You think I am dreaming today? That may be, but what else can I do but dream?
