Can you be a little more specific? All I see from Passan is some letter to Bud.

Five and Fly: Secret scout stuff By Jeff Passan
Monday, Jun 18, 2007 1:37 am EDT What unbelievable luck. In the same week an Associated Press reporter decided to distribute the Arizona Diamondbacks' scouting report on New York Yankees hitters, we happened upon a page of tobacco-expectorant-stained notes too.
Thankfully, our scout filed a report on all of Major League Baseball instead of one team. And while the report poached by AP used traditional scouting terms – it described Alex Rodriguez, for example, as "HOT right now.… Chases a lot of BB's w/2-strikes," with BB an abbreviation for breaking ball – our scout was, well, slightly less conventional.
His observations:
Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees: HOT right now … for blonde strippers. Chases them on the road.
Elijah Dukes, Tampa Bay Devil Rays: Questionable self-control. Might threaten to kill you. If utters, "You dead, dawg," advise to intentionally walk.
Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants: So many vices, could fill a book w/them. Avoid inside fastballs and hardcore steroids.
Sammy Sosa, Texas Rangers: Struggles w/BBs against every team, English vs. Washington.
Julio Franco, New York Mets: Born during the Lincoln Administration. Could spontaneously combust on any swing. Aim for called strikes, please.
Jason Schmidt, Los Angeles Dodgers: Hitters move to front of box, focus on release point, take 20-minute power nap, turn on fastball.
Carlos Zambrano, Chicago Cubs: Be very aware of punchout pitch. Can be recognized by the grip: balled-up fist. Catcher doesn't see it coming.
Gary Sheffield, Detroit Tigers: Can't be controlled. Because he is African-American. And African-Americans can't be controlled. He said so. Or something like that.
Gary Matthews Jr., Los Angeles Angels: Very persistent. Can deny, deny, deny w/ the best of 'em.
Antonio Alfonseca, Philadelphia Phillies: Owns magical sixth finger on pitching hand. Do not lose composure when he makes OK sign and four fingers stick up.
Rich Harden, Oakland A's: Take first pitch. Pitcher guaranteed to hurt self the next.
Craig Biggio, Houston Astros: Losing epic power struggle w/Father Time. Refuses to go gracefully and instead mutters "3,000" repeatedly.
FIVE …
• Lessons learned during the Cubs-Padres melee over the weekend, in reverse order of importance:
5) The Cubs are interested in punching opponents as opposed to one another.
4) At 6-foot-10, with a seemingly solid overhand right, Padres pitcher Chris Young might be America's answer to Nikolai Valuev.
3) Young must have said something really, really good to goad Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee into throwing the first punch, because Lee is one of the nicest guys in baseball.
2) Bob Watson is going to suspend Lee for at least five games, and Young will probably get 10 games (or two starts) even if, as he claims, he didn't mean to hit Lee with a pitch the day after Alfonso Soriano showboated on a home run.
1) San Diego doesn't hit – with its punches or bats – and still wins. The 1-0 victory that day marked the Padres' third of the season in which they had two or fewer hits.
• Another anomalous going-on: The Seattle Mariners' last five victories, all in a row, came in their last at-bat on the road. Which was all well and good until their most recent five games, all losses to the Cubs and Houston Astros, which negates the first nugget and dropped the Mariners back to third place in the AL West.

I can't see where Chris Young deserved to be thrown out of the game, much less have to face any suspension time. He simply came inside on a 1-2 pitch when Lee had been fouling off several outside pitches. Uhhh... I think that is the way the game is SUPPOSED to be played -- work a batter away and then bust him inside. Lee threw the first punch. No legal system should deny a man the right to defend himself.

The only one who deserved to be ejected and suspended was Lee. He instigated the whole thing.
