This is the first win of the year, and it came earlier than I predicted. Is that a good thing or a bad thing. Do we want the Astros to win any games under this pinch-penny ownership? Are we unhappy because they had to lose 8 before winning the first one. I am not unhappy. I am happy for Norris that had the honors of winning the first game of the year. That kind of shows where our help is coming from, not from Phillies retreads.

say what you will about Philly retreads......they have been the only performers on this team besides Norris. Maybe we need to get more of em.

I wouldn't call Michael Bourn a Phillly retread. He never really did much until he had been an Astro. But you are right, they have been doing pretty well compared to the rest of the team. Keppinger is a Cincinnati retread. Heck, I don't even know who was retreaded from whom. One thing is for sure, Towles is homegrown.

Towles needs to be sent packing along with Quintero. Give the job to Jason Castro and forget those two losers.

I guess we won't be whooping and hollering today. They left Paulino in too long. If I had a young pitcher like that and he made it through 5, I would keep him on a short leash in the 6th. At this point you have to try to win ballgames when you are ahead. Our fantastic offense managed 6 hits and 2 unearned runs. Lucky Chicago can't field or we would have been shut out.

I hope the fans don't start saying that Mills can't handle a pitching staff until he gets one to handle.
