I have trouble with that one also. They are addressing a problem with something that doesn't look any better than what we got. And pitching is always a problem that needs to be addressed. Maybe they didn't see any future in Paulino but this certainly doesn't give the Astros any better future than before they made the trade.

I am not sure if I don't prefer this Sanchez even if he is lacking in fielding a bit. I was looking to him and Manzella to at least give us a pretty good chance at finding something at shortstop. I think the fiasco that happened with Manzella doesn't prove anything one way or another. What can you do if you are sick? Maybe they know something about Paulino that we don't know like there is little chance for him to contribute next year. Still I would doubt that Barmes will contribute either.

Another trade that means nothing. Paulino had some potential and I don't know why we needed another infielder who can't get on base.

The whole idea was that Barmes had some power. I think looking to the shortstop for power is stupid. If we want power find a first baseman.

I know he is very good D at 2b, i don't know how good he is at D on SS.
