I figure we'll have to get someone to fill his shoes, and right now we don't have anyone. Maybe one of the younger guys will step up. Or maybe Carlos Lee will do the job at first. I always preferred Berkman to Carlos Lee. Berkman, when he is playing well is a better hitter than Lee. But maybe Berkman will never be the hitter he was. My guess is that he could really help somebody next year, maybe even be their starting first baseman. That is just a guess. St. Louis showed interest? That is strange considering who is their first baseman.

He is going to Oakland, unless they sign Dunn instead.

wow, the Cards to play LF?
Oakland was a much better choice for him, but he wanted to play in the NL.

I'm glad the Cards got him.........now he can show off his speed and gung-ho attitude for them. I am very glad we didn't sign him. I'd take Oswalt back but not Baby Huey.

I think berkman is going to do good there because the leader is pujols.
The problem with him and astros is that he was the leader because we did not had anyone else.
I see Bourn and pence as our leaders and myers in the pitching staff.

That could be a dangerous lineup on the Cardinals. Let us hope Berkman goes into a slump or Pujols strains something in the off season.
