The Astros have wasted more money by re-signing fat ass Quintero for $1,000,000.

I also like the signing. Q is easily worth the Mil in todays market.

I like Quintero also. Who would we call fat-ass if Quintero wasn't back for another year? I suppose we could call Lee but I heard Lee is trying to lose weight and become a base stealer center fielder. I think he hopes to challenge Micheal Bourn for his position. Signing Figueroa was a no brainer.

The trouble is that we are too stupid to try to sign Carl Crawford. Drayton should know that signing this guy would help him sell the team.

I think Crawford is a waste for us in our LF.
He is great in a stadium with a large LF because he can cover as good as a CFer.
Same applies if he goes to Boston.
Astros can do 1 of 2 things, Lee at lf, playing 1b vs lefties with our rookie 1b, or go after a good LF and move Lee to 1b.
I like like Werth makes more sense than Crawford, but i believe they will be the chance to play Wallace at 1b.
Now, i would go after 1 starter.

I think it would be a bad move to try and sign Crawford. He would be way too expensive and it would require a long term contrtact. Perhaps there is a way to bring him in, but I dont think we have the resources to get him.

I think we should do this:
1. Go after Hawpe to play lf/1b 2. Go after Jeff Francis/McCarthy to compete for the 4 and 5 spot in rotation with Norris and Lyle. 3. Try and trade for Reimold, i think we could get a steal there. Another player i would like to have is Connor Jackson.
Now, a reliever i would give a chance is Joel Peralta, the Nationals let him go and he could be very good.
Those are the moves i would think of for the Astros.

Another player to look for, Kiker, Texas, lhp, could be our lefty out of bullpen.

WOW....baseball been 'berry, berry good to Jason Worth! If he as a 32 year old can work a 7 year 126 million $ contract out of the Nats, what do you think Carl Crawford will bring?
