Mills acts like someone who thinks that he has a team that if he puts the right combination together he will start winning. That probably works for someone as moronic as Drayton McClane, but anyone that isn't blind should understand that this team could never win. Therefore what they should be doing is building for the future.
Case study was Russ Johnson. Russ Johnson started off the year poorly and Mills played him right through his slump. It worked, he came out of his slump but now Mills is experimenting with every third base combination possible and Johnson, out of his slump, isn't getting much playing time. I don't care if you experiment on 2nd, or shortstop, but Russ Johnson could become a really good 3rd basemen if you play him.
Send Mills away, and Drayton, retire, there is no need for you to even know about baseball decisions because you have never done anything except screw them up.
In the meantime, set the team on a course for the future. Quit acting like we have a team that will win if you get the right combination. That will never, ever, happen.
