Good god it's been a long time since I've been here...everyone else too...Iowafan basically has an entire forum to himself. Coach is still too busy jerkin it to midget porn to drop by and everyone else has vanished. Soooo I'll just drop this little turd nugget and leave for a few more years...I DON'T ROOT FOR AN AL TEAM...sorry Astros...I've shown you a lotta love for a lotta years...too many to count.... and I hung with you during even the hardest of times...but this is an absolute deal-breaker for me. Maybe I'm fighting a war that has long ended (what with inter-league play and free agency blurring the boundry between the two leagues) but I'm simply too old school to jump ship and root for a team in the Jr. circuit. GO BREWERS! Or BRAVES! or whomever the f**k I end up following.

Oh, and not only THAT, but Comcast has taken over Astros broadcasts starting next year. No longer will Fox Sports South West carry the games. No cable provider here in Central Texas carries Comcast, so I'm sh*t out of luck even if I DID want to keep watching them. Congrats MLB and Houston Astros, you've managed to alienate a loyal fan of 42 years...(BTW, that's not how old I am, just my 1st memories of the Astos)...

I felt this way for awhile, but the Astros for me are a bad habit, I will probably evacuate every time they have the designated hitter come up to bat. I am probably as angry about this as anyone because I absolutely hate the American league, I just find it impossible to change teams. They won't get any of my money though, unless I go to visit my uncle in Dallas and see Texas Rangers playing the Astros. The whole league has betrayed the Astros organization by making them second class status, putting them in a sh*t league, and the western division at that. It isn't that I am against the western division, it is just that Houston is in the central part of the USA for those that can't read a map. The administration of baseball, needs to change, they do not treat teams equitably.

As far as coach, I think he probably had an affair with a cheerleader, coaching too much does that to you, but she was under age, and he got a prison sentence. Must be a high security prison because they don't let him use internet.

Welllllllll...when it came right down to it, I lied. I TRIED to stay away, but like a coke addict in the middle of the Colombian jungle, I just couldn't help myself. LOVED watching the upstart Astros beast the 2 time AL Champs on National TV Easter night. This still doesn't solve the Comcast issue but I gotta enjoy the wins, and the TV time, cuz there ain't gonna be many of em. But it sure was nice. Nice to them back in Orange too! ;D

Nice to them back in Orange too! ;D If I had the time this year, I might get them on the internet. However, I don't have the time to watch that many games. I am an absolute baseball addict. I also am a basketball addict, but that broken leg in the Louisville, Duke game made me wonder. I don't watch much football. The first game was great. I like this new manager, the way he is working the lineup, I like tonight putting Jason Castro to be the DH. He looks to me like he is going to win every game he can.

Since that game, we have been sucking like we were supposed to. I can't wait until they get rid of some of the dead weight on the team. Right now, Wallace is my number 1 target. There are some others that are looking pretty dead also. I suppose we will go on and see if they get their act straightened out. I have little or no hope for Wallace right now.

Now they bring up Cisnero who has a 9.35 era for Oklahoma City. They say they want someone who can burn up innings. I think they are right, the innings will burn up.
