I dont think anyone had any doubt. BUT.. in fairness, Biggio against a tough RH pitcher like Sheets shouldnt have been playing.

Biggio shouldn't be playing against most right-handed pitchers who can get the ball up to the plate. He'll play tomorrow, rest Wednesday, and start against Colorado. There is NO way that Draytie will allow him to get that big hit on the road. He probably hopes he comes home at 2,999, goes into an 0- ? slump, and then get it the last game of the homestand. With Draytie winning is unimportant. Give him the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I thought it was funny that he didn't hit against Sheets even though he has a much better lifetime average vs him as opposed to the next two pitchers. In fact, he is only going to play aginst the one that he is like 1 for 12 lifetime against in this series.

FTI, now you know why we believe Garner is a bad manager.
Few moves MAKES SENSE from this guy.

Vega, as far as Biggio is concerned, I don't think Garner has anything to do with when he playes. Drayton MacLane is telling Phil exactly what to do because he is going to be sure he milks this thing for every penny he can get out of it.

Go back and read what I said. I don't think I asked why he didn't play when I know why he didn't play........he's too close to 3,000 and Draytie isn't taking the chance of him getting that hit in Milwaukee. I know you are kidding but I want to keep things cleared up.

i know its not going to be popular but i would do it also.. only about 1/3 of those with 3000 hits played for one team in their career.. i would sit him as well...however, i would damned well make sure he gets at least 2 hits in milwaukee...theres no telling if the guy can get a hit in a 9 game stretch let alone 3

hembo36, once again you show how much you know about this team. Its sad to say that he is third on team with extra base hits plus he is tied with Berkman for third on team with hits, and runs scored is first. He is not the offensive problem. All you have to do is look at the rest of them. Lane, Ensberg, Berkman. I could go on with who has not produced before you blame all this crap on Biggio. Fifth in RBI for the lead off guy. In case you wondering its Lee, Pence, Biggio extra base hits. Berkman is a distant fifth behind Scott. Berkman and Lorretta are tied at fifth with 16. that is one of the main problems with this team this year.
