if any of you in here, have ever been to Cooperstown and saw how poor the Astros section is, it sure will be nice to see it start to liven up. I been there as its a stone throw from LI and I ride my scoot up there as its a beatiful ride, anyway always felt that the Astros section was light compared to a lot of the other teams. Thanks Biggio

Now he has a 4 for 5 night and raises his avg. .247 much nicer than 237. Lets just hope the monkey is off the back and he really starts to hit again. I wonder how much and how long this has been on his mind and back.

That's the way to get 3000, 5-6 and starting a two winning rally in extra innings.

Biggio has been great for 20 years and deserves to get his 3,000 hits. I fully expect him to retire at the end of the year. We can only hope that his replaceemnt is half the player Biggio has been. I still think the Astros put his effort to reach 3,000 above winning, but, with the supporting cast that MacLane and his lapdog put on the field with him, why not concentrate on him getting his hits. This team isn't going anywhere anyway.

I will not, regardless of my personal feelings on this, be the one to take away Craig's glory from this thread. 3000 is a rare thing....it's hard to stay in baseball long enough to accomplish it. Grats Biggio.

Grats Biggio. Even rarer to stay with the same team while playing catcher, second, center field, left field, and back to second with the same team. He was an all star as a catcher and and as a second baseman. Not very many men have done that if any.
