I know we have some here that like the man love from ol adam, but why not play someone else there? Some people are not big on Loretta there but why not bruntlett? Play loretta at second and lamb at 3rd..whats wrong with that?

problem with that as long as Biggio is hitting you cant sit him. Though I would try and trade Everett to Boston as they have the crappy Lugo who is hitting worse than Everett and we know his defense is far below Everett, I bet we could get a real good couple prospect from them. Then need the defense, not the offense we need.

Biggio is hitting but he always struggles in the second half, so i don't expect much from Biggio.
Now, I don't think the Astros can trade Everett until they get a SS signed. We don't have anybody in the minors capable of replacing him. Loretta is not a fulltime SS, but right now he needs to stay there even when Everett is healthy.

When I saw the title of this thread, I just figgered it was from the boxscore telling us what the guy did at the plate today. Then I realized he wasn't playing due to injury. Funny how outta sight outta mind works, ain't it....

Everett is still the best SS in the National League. WE have nobody who comes close to being able to play that position as well as Everett. As for Bruntlett, he can't outhit one of the pitchers.
