If they ever want to trade this bum, they better keep him on the bench because playing him shows why we want to unload him. This head case is a joke!!

hey redbaron, I think Justice is reading what we have to say on this subject. Going to the plate with his bat and not using it. I know Justice is a twit mostly but this is pretty much rigth on. blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2007/07/ensberg_had_his.htmlEnsberg had his chance. Time to cut the cord. There are two possible reasons Morgan Ensberg is still with the Astros. Neither is legitimate. It's time to fill that roster spot with someone who might help the Astros win a game. Ensberg has had enough chances. Somewhere along the way, he lost his aggressiveness at the plate. He has to go to the minor leagues or another organization to see if he can rediscover it. All of you who believe OBP is baseball's most important offensive statistic need to watch Ensberg play. He's hitting .207. His slugging percentage is down almost 200 points from 2005. At times, it's unclear why he takes a bat to homeplate because he doesn't use it. One reason he's still around could be that the Astros don't want to pay off the remainder of his $4.35-million salary. Phil Garner continues to use Ensberg in certain situations, mainly against left-handed pitchers. He has given him far more chances than another manager might have. This is what he should do. If management decides a player belongs on the roster, then the manager ought to find a way to use that player. Otherwise, he's managing with a 24-man roster. There's another possible reason Ensberg is still on the roster, and it's far more troubling. It's that Tim Purpura and his staff are convinced there's no one in the minor leagues better. Have you checked out the Round Rock stats lately? Go down the numbers and find a player that could help. Josh Anderson and Mike Rodriguez would add depth the outfield. Cody Ransom, the best of the infielders, is batting .266. He's 31 years old and has played parts of four seasons. He came up as a SS, but is playing 3B. Given that he has worked hard to get another shot and that no one has done better, he's the guy I'd have on the roster for Friday's game against the Mets. I love Morgan Ensberg. He's as decent a man as I've known in professional sports. I was happy the Astros brought him back for another shot. But his time in Houston is up. He has been on the roster for a year and half without being productive. Enough is enough. • • •

It's too bad Astros management is too stupid to realize that Ensberg is just taking up space. He is doing absolutely nothing to help this team and hasn't since 2005.

he just drove in a run so he is good for at least a month of playing time...garner will do what ever it takes to make sure his buddy is in the lineup

This a$$h*le has sruck out and popped up with runners in scoring position. He took strike three on a fastball right down the middle. Absolutely, this guy makes me want to vomit.
