Wandy had another very nice outing, shutting down a good lineup.
For the most part, he's put together a pretty good season this year.

Believe it or not, but he's been pretty good all year long, not just tonight.
Before tonight, he had a 4.23 era, and in 95 2/3 innings he had allowed 94 hits, 25 walks, and had 82 strikeouts. That's not bad at all for your #4/#5 starter. When he limits his walks, he does well. When he doesn't have his control, he gets rocked.
Trust me, I don't want to believe it either, but facts are, he's been better than we hoped or expected this year.

Wandy was great and was in control for the whole nine innings.

Wandy has been nothing short of Cy Young at home. He is now 6-2 with a 1.58 era. He has 13 walks and 59 ks. This is in 10 starts and 68.2 innings. Now on the road it is Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. 1-5 with a 6.60 era, 14 walks and 39 ks. This is 8 starts and 45 inings. That is an amazing difference.
He must have learned how to pitch from Roy O. Roy is 5-1 with a 2.37 era at MM and 2-4 with a 5.68 on the road. The game last night raised his record to 6-7 and dropped his era to 3.87.
Too bad our other pitchers can't pitch like that at home. These two are 11-3 at home while the club is 23-21 at home. The rest of the pitching staff is 6 games under .500 at home.
Wandy is pitching like a number 2 so far this year. Roy is 7-5 with a 3.52, JJ is 1-4 with a 4.07, Sampson is 6-6 with a 4.25, and Woody is 4-10 with a 5.47 though he has looked bette in his last two starts.

Wandy is pitching very very good this year.
I want to see the whole year before i celebrate but so far this year he is pitching very good as a number 3.
Also, Woody is pitching much better but still allowing way too many homers.
By the way, Burke is hitting very good, pity he will not CONTINUE to play regular baseball after the All Star.
