Who cares? It would be of more interest to fans - well at least it might keep me from dozing off in the middle of the farce if I were going to watch it, which I'm not - by making them stand on their heads while trying to hit softly thrown balls right down the middle of the strike zone with corked bats.

Then you should know its harder to hit those softly thrown balls out...Thats why fielder had 4 and pujols 3

But also, it depends on where the pitch is thrown, plus they are thrown with some velocity - say in the 80's - and not just lobbed in there. If you can get someone who can throw accurate pitches at around the low 80's in exactly the same high and inside location, you can launch a lot of balls out of the park.

Really? could you? Why then did fielder struggle? The ball park was built for a lefty(bonds) the wind wasnt a factor yesterday...

All I can say is my older brother could hit a baseball over 400 ft regularly when we played sandlot ball and we certainly were not throwing them in there at 90 MPH+. We weren't throwing them no where near 90 MPH.
